Flawless Window Upgrade: Reglazing the Shop Front at Biggleswade Jobcentre

Our expert team has recently completed a successful reglazing project at the Jobcentre in Biggleswade. In collaboration with Reach Access, we expertly replaced the shop front window. The entire process was captured in a time lapse, highlighting our team’s efficiency, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to quality and safety.

During the project, our engineers carefully removed the old glass and installed 10.8mm safety laminated glass, which offers superior protection and durability. This high-quality glass enhances the storefront’s structural integrity and, in the event of breakage, remains attached to the interlayer, significantly reducing the risk of injury from shards. The 10.8mm thickness provides excellent impact resistance, making it ideal for high-traffic environments like the Jobcentre, where safety and security are paramount. The new glass not only improves the storefront’s appearance but also enhances the overall safety of the premises, ensuring it meets the highest standards.

To further elevate the project’s success, we utilised “Ronnie,” a cutting edge glassworker robot from our sister company Reach. Ronnie, the GW 625-2 model, features advanced capabilities that streamlined our workflow. Its ability to lift up to 625kg with precision using a specialised suction cup attachment was instrumental in handling the large and heavy glass panel safely and effectively, making a challenging task much more efficient.
